I am realativly new here. First I want to thank everyone who is involved with this web site as it really does make life easier when we share our experiences.
I was wondering if anyone out there has ever re-shaped (re-bent) the rear hatch hinges on a 1982 collectors edition. I know mine have lost there original shape as the window does not close or seal properly and the rear locking pins do not line up with the latch holes.
I have seen used ones for sale but there is no way of knowing if they are any better until I buy them and I really don't need another set thats the same as mine.
I know bending them seems kinda off the wall but from what I have read its about the only option available.
