6.2 engine recall

Although displacement may be the same, trucks usually get cast iron block & heads, performance models get aluminum.
There is this ……
The LT2 engine, a 6.2-liter V8, was introduced in the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 and is specifically designed for this model. Currently, it is not used in any other vehicles by General Motors. The LT2 engine is a refined version of the LT1 engine found in the previous C7 Corvette, featuring enhancements such as a new intake and exhaust system, improved lubrication, and a dry-sump oil system tailored for the mid-engine layout of the C8 Corvette.
While engines like the LT1 and other variants (e.g., LT4, LT5) have been shared across various GM models, the LT2 remains exclusive to the Corvette lineup. Future models like the Z06 will utilize different engines, such as the LT6, further emphasizing the uniqueness of the LT2 within GM’s offerings.
