This is an open question in two parts.
1st do you want a PVC hose or rubber, I prefer rubber its much easier to work with and move around doesn't kink like PVC.
2nd a retractable contraption , I prefer to wind up and place on a bracket i.e. garden hose holder made of steel.

It a personal choice.

I let this offer go by ... but thx for posting
agreed especially if the garage is "winter cold" ... the "frozen in a coil" pvc hose that came
with my compressor got quickly replaced by 2-25ft rubber hoses.
A small pain for the connection to make it 50ft long but a 25ft rubber hose was on sale
(so bought two) and if the integrity of one hose goes bad (beyond pleasant looking repair),
I will still have 25ft that will still be good until another sale comes up
(ya this choice comes from experience)

For my corvette I’ve got the little 12 volt compressor I carry. Takes seconds to top up a tire. The Hummer has a central tire inflation system with an onboard compressor... so I just use a switch. No hoses to tangle or mess around with required
