3300...

Are YOU at 3300? I heard there WAS a vert at 3300.
Jeremy from the other forums posted he went 3300 on his vert on Thursday. Him and myself always had the same TPWs all along this process. I might have to break my own rules "again" and try to find out my status today rather than waiting for Monday!

There is another guy that states he is at 3300 but his TPW is August 24 which is the same as mine. I'm still at 3000.

I read that too. Plus I read in one of the facebook groups there's another vert at 3300. I'm gonna give the ladies a little time to enjoy their morning and get their coffee's before I start asking questions.
 
So, I placed the call. First what really pisses me of big time is 5ZZ is no longer showing on my build... that really pisses me off!!!
Second, still at event code 3000 and no TPW is showing at this point.

Is that the high wing? They announced that would happen. You get a gift card instead.

The price was to good to be true! Too bad. I feel for you guys that ordered the high wing. I decided against it due to the fact it would be a PITA to lift my golf clubs over it. Hahaha

Sorry boyz... after I posted I headed out to work (Durham Region went stage-3 today) and just got home. What a busy, busy, busy damn day. Not used to working after having so many months off. Lol.
Yes Murray, 5ZZ is the carbon flash metallic high wing. The first time they announced they were removing them off some builds mine still had it. When I inquired this morning he said it was not showing on my build which really irritates me. I was hoping to be at 3300 but he said still showing 3000 and my TPW was gone. Its happened before but now we are so close. I will inquire again on Monday and see what happens.
 
I just got a BS email from GM saying my TPW is now October 26th!!!!! How do you go from a TPW of April 6th then August 3rd (both start of vert production) to this BS? I emailed my dealer and said if this BS is true, I want a 21. Why would I want a 20 when the 21s will be built one week after my 20?

Man! That's tough! The only thing I can add is that it can't get very much later and it will likely move up. I wonder if it has anything to do with the high wing. Maybe it will return???

Be careful Sparro: I've heard they might extend the 2020 production to the end of 2020, not merely the end of October. This is to ensure they make their commitment to produce ALL 2020's at 3000 or better status. That will take away the 2021 production time even more so I anticipate fewer 2021's being produced and with the likely increased demand for 2021, it could prevent 2021 orders from being filled so a "repeat" of the 2020 situation we find ourselves in, but probably not as bad. So make sure your dealer will slot you in front of others in the 2021 line-up and has a REALLY GOOD/LARGE allocation number for 2021's, before cancelling your 2020 order. Then I hate to mention this since I usually try and be an optimist, but COVID-19 could rear its head again and impact the 2021 production, wreaking further havoc on the number of C8's produced. With what's happening now in the States, things aren't looking good and might get worse next year (???) if an effective vaccine isn't found. Like you, I'm waiting for a convertible and fortunately my TPW was moved up from the October 26 week to the week of September 14 for reasons unknown to me (the color of my car? its options? where the car is being shipped?) but I was initially thinking the same thing as you knowing I'd likely get a winter delivery date. Even now, I'm told to expect my C8 around mid-October which won't give me much time before I park it. Anyways, I've decided to "roll with the punches" and retain my 2020 order, for the reasons I've mentioned above and applying the old adage about "a bird in the hand". JMO and something for you to consider. Good luck!
