I've seen this before. I don't find it's the top speed that is so impressive, but how fast it gets there. I also thought for a world record, that the vehicle had to go both directions on the track to account for wind, elevation change, etc.
 
I'm surprised how soft the launch is and how calmly the driver shifts the car. I guess when you have lots of power, you don't need to hammer on it.

LOL yes I noticed that so I timed his 0-200mph and he 'lolygagged' his way to 200 in about 15 seconds.

Makes one wonder how quick he could have done it if in a hurry.
