This past week (April 2026) I had my three year DCT service done at a Langley BC Chevy dealer. I have a 2023 Stingray HTC with 35350 km. So the three year service included complete replacement of the DCT fluid (11 litres of tranny fluid) and a new DCT canister filter. Itemized, the fluid exchange was $999.95 plus tax while the new canister replacement was $972.75 plus tax. Just curious how this cost compares with the same three year DCT service for other C8 Stingray owners!

Can you break it down to parts and labour for us please. All Dealerships are different with pricing...
Almost $2000.00 for the 1st big TX service.
You should have looked at a maintenance Package from Don Le at Georgetown Chevrolet..
I got 7 years or 80,000 kms for $3221.00. ( Ends at 89,722 kms. )
Essential care covers all:
Transmission oil and filter changes
Cabin and air filters
All engine oil and filter changes.
Engine coolant, drain, flush and fill.
2 transmission filter and fluid changes more than covers the cost.
A friend had the 3 year tx service ( fluid and filter ) done at Jenner in Victoria last year for $1450.00.

Your cost is in the ball park. Big city dealers with big overheads charge a bit more.
Hi Don - was quoted $1,600 + tax by the dealer in Burnaby, not including the extra 2 litres for track fill. Ended up doing it myself. We can talk more on the cruise Saturday.
It's sad how combining two seperate service items dealing with similar procedures gives you zero savings at the dealer. The whole thing should have cost half of what you paid, at most. I would say that for most people buying a service plan is worth it.

My friends has a 2023 with 45k and he is getting his fluid replaced, they got quotes for 1400+ and Coburg quoted a very realistic 900+. They took it there. I'd say you did well.
I'm not sure why some dealers charge $1600 and some charge $900-$1000. You'd think GM would have a book value for this service, all I can say is avoid the ones that charge $1400+.

I’m only at 5k km and 11 months…. But knowing the cost of the services before hand, thanks to Don, I bought the extended care ….
The problem with these maintenance klans is that the dealer will only do the services as required by the service schedule as laid out in the owner's manual. This leads to many additional trips to the dealer, unless you want to pay out of pocket for the other services...ie if you are doing the 3 year DCT fluid change, they will not do the canister filter on the plan, if it is not at the prescribed mileage.
I generally don't have the time to take car to a dealer once for an oil and filter change, then Cannister Filter, and then DCT Fluid change, then air filter, etc.
Keep in mind, these plans are sold because the dealer makes good money on them, and most owners do not actually get all of the services that are included.
With that said, I am also one of the people that do not trust the dealer to do the work correctly - with my free oil, filter and Cannister change, there was 1.5 litres too much oil in the motor, and oil spilled all over the shear plate. Happy to do the work myself, and did, including the DCT flush.

I can understand them not doing the canister filter if it's not at the required mileage. Although if you asked to have it done during the TX oil change you would think they would only charge for the filter. As for oil change I had mine done at Jiffy Lube for $92.00 a couple of weeks ago. I supplied the oil, filter and drain plug washer of course. Second time I had them do it .I was about to tell him to torque the drain plug to 18 ft/lbs but he beat me to it by asking ! When they filled it with oil he even said start the engine and rev to 2,000 rpm for a half a minute or so and then we checked the oil and it was bang on .
What I like about them is you are standing there the whole time watching what is being done. Hard to beat really.
