How long since the engine/power was shut down? Try it with the engine running.
Check around the perimeter of the frunk lid for anything that might be blocking it from closing. Your video is too tight on the bucket to see if there's an obstruction outbound. I had mine stuck on the power cord to my battery maintainer last winter near the passenger side hinge.
Both of my 2024 frunk/trunk close with that amount of force.
Maybe the pull release near the steering column is askew? Try pulling it to see if it resets the latch.

Got it closed ended up putting a buncha weight into it and it shut lol but not a soft close
The vehicle has to be running and then lift it up a couple of inches and then bring it down till it makes contact and then apply fairly firm pressure and the mechanism should grab it . I had the same issue but that works for me every time. You don't need a lot of force . A couple of times I had to double press the fob button, with the vehicle running and then push it down again and it closed.

Had exactly the same problem after having the car for just a few days. Very frustrating. Tried everything. It would engage with the latch (so that it couldn't be opened) but would not go flat. Ended up driving it, very slowly, to the dealer. They say they couldn't find anything but said that it might require a frunk latch adjustment in the future.

Found this . There have also been issues with it opening while driving. Started with MY2022 and apparently there was a software update to fix that particular problem, would prefer the problem of having trouble getting it to close but of course there shouldn't be any problem to begin with.....

To diagnose why a C8 Corvette frunk won't close, the following steps can be taken:Check for Obstructions:Inspect the entire perimeter of the frunk opening and lid for any dirt, debris, or objects that could prevent the latch from engaging.Ensure the weatherstripping and sealing surfaces are clean and not damaged.Test the Latch Mechanism:With the frunk lid open, try manually engaging the latch by pressing the latch inward and then closing the frunk firmly but gently.Listen and feel for the latch catching securely. If the latch seems stuck or not engaging, the mechanism may need cleaning or lubrication.Inspect the Release Buttons:Confirm that the frunk release button inside the driver's door or on the key fob is not accidentally being pressed or stuck, as this would keep the latch from fully engaging.Check for any electrical faults or stuck switch issues.Check for Vacuum or Pneumatic Issues:Some C8 frunks use pneumatic or vacuum assist for soft close operation.Look for vacuum leaks or damaged vacuum lines which can cause closure issues.Perform a System Reset:Sometimes an electronic glitch can cause the latch to stay unlocked.Fully open the frunk, disconnect the 12V battery for a few minutes, then reconnect and see if the system resets. If these steps do not identify the problem, a dealer diagnostic scan or professional inspection may be needed, especially to check for software updates or mechanical latch replacements under warranty. This methodical approach will help pinpoint if the problem is mechanical, electrical, or related to user input on a C8 Corvette frunk that won't close properly.

Ok so your AI Info is bu Llshit. And I only read the 1st line. In Aug 2020, my car was held for delivery due to the "Frunk" issue for 3 days...
It was me that typed MY2022 , meant to say 2020 . So you are correct! The AI bit started with ' to diagnose ' . That's why the gap between them.
