2020 Restart > TPW Updates ✔

Murray, my TPW was also May 18th. I haven't checked new TPW but if it's August 24th that's my 46th wedding
anniversary date. I thought they lost 7 weeks and was hoping for a mid July TPW.
It is what it is!!
We're twins! LOL Exactly what I was hoping for. That's past my 45th wedding anniversary. Was suppose to be her present. Now I'll have to think of something else damit
Let me know if you find anything out. Would be interesting.

Hey Murray,

I was given a TPW of Aug. 24th as well but that was back on 4/15.
I'm hoping we'll see those move up shortly just like it appears to be happening to those south of the border.

Thanks See8vette
I was afraid to hope, but hope I have that you are right. It might just be a little too soon to get anything anywhere near accurate.

Hi, my original TPW was May 4th, just got of the phone with order management and my new TPW date is June 7th, that’s not that bad at all of course if it’s not going to get pushed back.
It looks like your build is similar to mine. I'm so confused ...

I was at the same TPW as you originally and I have also been updated now to June 22nd. Not sure we should put too much faith in those dates. I am perplexed as to how we loose 9 weeks of production capacity yet only push the ETA's out 5-6 weeks. Either there have been a lot of orders dropped out due to COVID impact or the dates are just moving targets for our benefit.

Just wondering if anyone has gotten any updates from their dealer or are they calling the concierge on their own. I’m guessing most of the sales people are not in the office so may not be getting updates. Except for Morgan. 😆
I haven’t called yet to see where I am from my original May 4 date.
Both my friends with orders in have had zero communication on status. One of them hopes it's late due to the current situation, the other doesn't care either way.

Hi, put in my deposit in June, I been on 3000 event with my TPW schedule on May 4th seance February 4th
Good for you on the updated TPW, hopefully it stays there. I went 3000 in Feb as well, but mine is a HTC so we will see, my updated TPW is July 13. Good luck.

TPW's were updated last week.

Nearly every single one of mine was pushed back. Still none any later than August 31st.

However, I did get one to move up to mid-June for production and one other did move up.

All still subject to change.

Once an order has been accepted to Event 3000, there is no cancelling it. The dealership will receive the car regardless of whether or not the customer will take it.

I'm not sure how they're planning everything out, but they are definitely working on it day-in-day-out, even when the plant is shut down. It's crazy complicated. I suspect, once they can, they're going to have the plant running 24/7 to get all the ordered cars built by the end of August.

I just called too. I was told July 20. Original was April 6th. This irritates me. They should build my car in the period is was scheduled before shut down. So they should build it two weeks after they start up. She did say that it will most likely change and to check back. She was not aware of the announcement today. She said they got an internal email that says they will be starting up soon and were planning to begin first with trucks and vans and corvettes was third. But again she said that can change in a moment too. Still too soon for any accurate info I believe.

I can confirm the email to be true: GM is planning on opening assembly plants back up starting May 18th. They will begin with trucks, then SUV's and Corvettes. That is to say, Corvette production will likely not start on the 18th, but perhaps a week or two after.

They will begin with 1 shift, then slowly ramp up to two, then three. Employees will need to be re-trained on everything as they've been away from work for so long.

Edit to add: The situation is fluid. If things take a turn for the worse again, the plants may not open or may be forced to re-close.

You're correct. From what I know was told the dealers can only see the event status codes now and not TPWs.
Cant the dealers do that for us? Not like they got much else to do at their desks.
