I'm happy your First is a Z. I went from a C7 Stingray, GS, then to the current Z. EACH were Perfect, in their own way, but I was ALWAYS wanting, more. IF I tried harder, I should have went with the ZR1, but I'm happy to be on the List for an C8 ME.----though I want a Higher version (Engine, Wider Body if available, when I Do plunk the $$$...). Why do you suggest the 3LZ over the 2LZ? Just curious! Personally I wouldn’t want suede anything in my car but to each their ownI will say that it doesn’t look nice!
There are differences between the 2 and 3. For me if I’m dropping 100K plus on a car it will have the top options package.
Why deprive ones self?
As far as the alcantara goes. I wasn’t thrilled with it in the beginning but now really like it. Really sets of off the interior to a higher level.
I have had both, with and without in the same colour in my last 2 Z06’s.
But like you say.... to each his own.

I picked up my Z with a M7, yesterday. If I could I wouldn’t of bought this one after just one day. The reason? No Remote Start! Boo. I loved my GS A8-with Remote start! I always started the car, well before, I got in. Always. Loved the Sound it made. Oh, well. Stuck with it, till they announce the ME!
Don't know if they still do or not but I had a remote start installed in my M5 diesel truck 20 years ago. They put a sensor somewhere under the boot in the shift mechanism that wouldn't let it start unless it was in the neutral position. More money but it worked fine for the 2 years I had the truck.
I’ve never heard of Rev Match until I pick up the car. Definitely helps with shifting. Have Not driven a standard in 20 years. It’s all coming back to me. lol Miss remote start, but Love how she feels...Zoom zoom!If that’s all you have to complain about you’re doing good.
Drive the M7 with the rev match for a while and see if the remote start is still a big deal.
Get your mgw installed yet Derek. I’ve got it in the box ready to install. Looks easy enough. Ordered extra sheet of sound deadner too.....looks like harder part is getting the dead ear in place correctly and cutting the Oem rubber boot.... just waiting for warmer weather. Send some our way!It’s a fantastic feature on the C7.
It also takes a while to get used to finding the top 3 holes but it comes with practice I found. Later on a short shifter may interest you as well.
