Hi Jeffer;
I went down with the Kingston group and we joined the Ontario caravan in Cleveland. Don't know if you are interested in the Ontario caravan experience or not. I have a couple of hundred pics, which I would not post all of, of our various stops and BG/NCM events.
Again. all from the eastern caravan.
Well I tried to trim down from the plus 400 pictures I took to what you see here. Probably would have been more suited in the media section but it is here. I will have to put a second post as I can only attach 50 files.
I tagged on to the Kingston group who in turn merged in to the Ontario caravan in Cleveland on Sunday - dates on pictures. Visited the Rock & roll Hall of fame there. Next day we had police escort to get us out of Cleveland. Few pics of this lined up. Next stop way Boyton Ohio for the Air force museum. If you ever get a chance to go there it is well worth the visit and it is free.
From there on to Indianapolis and the next day was a few laps on the speedway with our cars. Was told this is rare that the let you on the speedway in you own vehicle. Pace car out front so no pedal to the metal. Next was the museum which is also well worth the time. From there some went on to Churchill Downs (Kentucky Derby) but I went straight to BG. Really bad down pour for those who went to Churchhill.
The rest of the pics are from the BG area.
Had a morning at the Go Karts just for the Ontario caravan. Prizes were given out to the winners and the women got a run at it as well. Some guys had a run at the NCM racetrack on Friday. Pace car out front. They took five cars at a time and basic rules were that if the five cars could keep up then the pace car would bring it to the limit. If any one car fell back he would slow down.
Friday evening was a Journey cover band as warm up for Jefferson Starship followed by fireworks
We stayed at the Drury Inn and by chance all the GM people also stayed there so there were 8 C8's there every night. Tadge also was there.
On to the pictures. I have endeavoured to put them in some kind of order to follow the trip.
This caravan was extremely well organized with side trips. Not just a go down and come back.
And the last two of the ampitheatre where the Journey cover band played to warm up for Jefferson Starship.
So that is a total of some 102 pictures out of over 400 that I took.
