2007 vanity mirror cover replacement

Hi everyone, I’m trying to replace my drivers side vanity mirror cover without much luck. I can’t get the metal hooks over the plastic bar on the new cover. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks Area Z51, I’ll give it a try. Looks simple enough . Hope things are going good on the other side of the country
