2005 c6 sticks in park

Good day, can someone please help me out, I have a 2005 corvette it’s gets stuck in park when I put it into drive, should i replace the shift assembly or what else could it be? Thanks..

Sounds like a linkage issue to me..maybe this video will help. Might not be the issue, but worth checking it out
