My backup lights stay on all the time. I have looked for a switch on the transmission, I don't see anything. Don't know if previous owner did something. Does anyone have any ideas where to look or what may be going on. Thanks

Didn't have a 68 Vette Freddyman but did have a Chevelle. If it's a standard tranny and if it's like the Chevelle, there is a switch connected to the reverse shift lever on the side of the tranny by a rod. The switch or the rod sounds out of adustment and the wires coming out of the switch are sending continuous signal. Either that or the two wires between there and the firewall are compromised somewhere. Good luck.
