Nice old cars other than x-fire

Mine didn't come with three women to help push it!

    PPF or naked?

A slightly different, but I think still relevant response. I have Xpel on the front fascia. In close to 3 years, there are two spots where an impact tore a chunk of the Xpel perhaps 4 to 5 mm in diameter, but left the paint intact. I have no doubt that without the PPF they would have chipped the...

    Bowling Green

If you were there at the very beginning of a model year that might have been true. But it's definitely not true of normal production. Some of the tour guides like to sound like they know more than they do. Until the DRL issue is fixed, GM can't legally import any non-conforming cars into...

Mag Ride vs. No Mag Ride

Ferrari used to license the technology from GM to use in it's own cars. Once the patent expired, they developed their own version, but they though it important enough to pay GM.

Mag Ride vs. No Mag Ride

Is there ANY way you can add it? I think the answer is yes, but not without a lot of difficulty and expense. Aside from the shocks, you'll need the accelerometers and their mounts on the suspension, all the wiring harnesses, and a way to modify the software to add all the code related to it. I...

Mag Ride vs. No Mag Ride

It's hard to miss something you have no experience with. I don't miss dating Kendall Jenner, because I've never had the experience. But I suspect if I had, and was no longer, I might very well miss it. :) I suspect if you experienced it, you'd miss it if you didn't get it the next time.

Mag Ride vs. No Mag Ride

Mostly because the rules for the racing class either allow it (or require it), or don't allow it. No question every race team would use ABS were it allowed. Even F1 cars used to have ABS until the rules changed to prohibit it. And ABS improves the safety of EVERY car on the street, whether used...

    Tire Pressure

Interesting. I never noticed the psi and kpa pressures didn't map. With bigger rims and rubber bands for tires, I'd be inclined to go with 32 psi just to try to protect the tims.

Mag Ride vs. No Mag Ride

It actually can greatly improve contact with the road and feedback. In addition to letting you adjust for a firmer or softer ride, MSRC in any mode can adjust rebound and compressions damping up to 10 times per second, and individually for each corner. On less than smooth surfaces, it does a...

    Sad day but Deja vu

Americans, by and large, want SUVs. I think the only reason the foreign car makers still sell cars here is that they also sell them in Europe and Asia, so it doesn't cost a lot more to make a US version.

    Sad day but Deja vu

Doesn't Cadillac still sell a couple of passenger cars?

    I think I just saw a Lamborrari.

Old thread, but it just popped up in an email from the forum. Those 2 pics are of different cars. The Ferrari (top) has fender scoops, the Lambo (bottom) doesn't.

    C8 rear trunk heat shield

Someone on Corvette Forum did before / after tests and found the benefits pretty minimal. In my experience, most of the heat comes through the floor once the car is parked, and not through the front of the trunk.

    Oil Additive....

Searching the internet, I can't find any actual evidence that Moly actually bonds to metal parts, which would be necessary to provide any actual benefit. Lot's of articles from companies that make or sell it, and lots of anecdotal claims from owners, but no actual cases where someone used it and...
