Just eat in your car and you will eventually have mice. The smallest bit if food will attract them. Many years ago I bought a mouse infested Chevelle. The whole interior, including the carpet and headliner had to be removed, cleaned or replaced. The smell would make a pig puke. There is a...
We bought our 2005 in 2012 and it had never had a front plate bracket mounted on the facia. I wasn't about to drill holes in the body. Shortly after that, a friend got a fine for no plate. I made up a bracket that mounted on the bottom of the front facia. It sort of cleans up the front end...
Both our 1997 Oldsmobile LSS and our 2005 Corvette have leather seating surfaces. The only ratty parts in these cars are the leather parts. Perhaps if the factory used quality leather, there would not be a problem. I had a 1969 Chevelle SS396 with the original all vinyl interior. I had the...
This was my experience. Way too brittle. I always use a torque wrench on everything, so it wasn't due to over torqued. Two nuts had pieces broken out of them. I went back to the factory lug nuts. Our car is never left out at night anyway.
Our 2005 has the HUD and honestly, I seldom even look at it. There are times when the sun shines on the glass and I can not read the HUD. Our car has the memory mirrors and memory seats and my wife and I use that option every time one of us gets into the car.
Early on, with our 2005, I removed the painted wheels going with the polished version and later went with the same in Chrome. I then added stone guards behind all four wheels. I bought a Vararam intake from a guy who was going supercharged. Sounded about the same and it would take a dyno or...
Our 2005 was wearing both front tires on the inside edge. The local alignment shop simply zeroed the camber on both front wheels. Lots of miles on these tires and wear seems to be even now.
I have C-Tek battery tender-maintainers on everything, from lawn tractors to cars, when they are not in use. Newer vehicles with all the advanced electronics and such all have a parasitic draw on the battery and it does need help to stay charged. I get good, long life out of my Delco batteries.
