    2016 Prices?

    I have a build date for my 2016 Z51 of July 20 but still don't have the prices --- could be interesting. Let you know when that happens ! My 2014 only has 15k on it ; so I could probably live with it for awhile longer.

    Mobil 1 - oil change experience in Canada

    Mobil 1 oil change The dealer in Phoenix ( Chapman Chev ) that does my oil changes informed me that GM pays them $80.00 / change. Mobil 1 5/30 amounts to $78.00 for a Vette --- so , no charge for me. My local dealer in Victoria, BC won't entertain the thought of using Mobil 1 ---

    NAV direction accuracy

    NAV out of date on 2014 Z51 Driving around the Southwest States I have issues with the NAV . It does not recognize streets that were built 10 years ago.

    Good news

    My little yellow Z51 just passed thru Winnipeg --- should be in Victoria in a week or so. Skating thru all the "restrictions" took a bit of extra time but it's got all the options I wanted incl. the carbon dash. :canada::D

    2015 gets new 8 speed auto

    8 Speed only on the Z06 -- if you want the outdated supercharger --you get the new tranny. the standard engine has a pretty benign torque curve --- not sure the two extra gears would make that much difference except the paddle shifting gets a little busier.

    " we don't need no stinkin badges " Have omitted front plate for 26 years --- never been bothered. Although, I suppose it could give a copper an excuse to stop you-- they have been pretty good here in Victoria.

    Price Hike

    Agree completely with the assessment of the lower mainland --- just too many salesmen pouncing on arrival at GM or Ford dealerships -- plus they are still playing the same old "closing" games . Bought my Vette to drive in Arizona , where it will stay ( conversely, they don't like imports )...

    At 1/2 the price of a Porsche 911s -- it is a stupendous bargain ; pushrod engine notwithstanding.
