Hello CCF Nation,
I plan to install Kooks long tube headers with high flow green cats and midpipe on my C7 GS. I've been hearing potential heat issues that may damage torque tube components. Would like to proactively manage heat before installation.

This is hilarious, I thought im in the American forums for a moment seeing "rain" as an excuse to not be able to take more photos outside. Then realized the thread is a Necropost, an old thread revived from the dead.
Good job for both resurrecting this and the stance with the spacers ! XD...
Very sad to see enthusiasts getting caught in the crosshairs. I hope the classics and modding community will survive and remain resilient. Most of us have longterm plans for our cars and none of us look forward to suffer to find and source parts in the future.
What worries me the most is GM...
I agree SC and Turbos wouldnt lump together, that's why I opened up with FI (Forced Induction) in my comments. To your question - I dont particularly see supercharged options as "upgrades" thus created this thread. Z06 may do some things better than Stingray/GS and can be other way around for...
Strictly talking "non-track" - spirited driving on the streets & twisties, We often hear people preferring N/A (naturally aspirated) engines over FI (forced induction) ie supercharged or turbo applications.
N/A usually gets associated with precision, fun and "driver's cars". In C7's world the...
Thank you Cobravenomous! So because Grand Sport LT1 is dry sump but not supercharged, the liter requirement is still the same as the supercharged LT4 then?
The chart is kinda confusing in a funny way. Cant see a straight LT1 Grand Sport capacity =) thanks for clarifying
I see Amazon has 6 quarts pack for $95 like you mentioned. Do we need to order 2 packs then getting 12 quarts?
How many quarts/liters does Grand Sport/Z06 oil change take with dry sump? 9.5 quarts?
Hello Everyone,
Curious to know how the looming American tariff situation will affect our oil changes in Canada, given the GM recommended Mobil 1 Supercar 0W-40 comes from US. And to my knowledge, we dont have a local dealer that brings it here which was already a problem. Only GM sells the...
Even though the poll heavily leans ON, glad to see almost all provinces are represented !
I've moved from BC to Greater Toronto Area (GTA) several years ago. Still travelling in between (not with the Corvette I'm afraid).
I would still choose both Ontario and BC if I could =)
Cheers everyone!
Year of the car and the maintenance/type of drive history aside, the general rule of thumb would be anything around 30k kms and under would be low kilometers for purchase.
One heads up I give everyone, as I see 4 digit kms in the survey like a trap - too low of kilometers is also not a good...
