I have an 1976 Corvette where the previous Owner painted the car. The body and paint is immaculate. However, the undercarriage needs work. Should I risk removing the body at this point or restoring the frame and undercarriage with the body on?
I really don’t want to damage the body and paint...
That was my next thought. Other than looks of the dash, all other parts are in the dealership. I will keep that in mind. I know there are issues with the seat belts right now as well. Thanks
That was my next thought. Also, would it be wise to ask the question at a different dealership. I have the part number etc. I also have a report from the dealership that says the part has been ‘approved for quality control’. Not sure what this means but a month ago I got the sense it was on...
Update…had my accident with 2017 last July 2022. Here it is March 2023 and the dealership has told me the there is no replacement dash available anywhere in the world. I have no idea when I will get my car repaired.
Is this normal? I don’t think I am ever getting my car again. Frustrated and...

I hit a small deer last July at which time the front bumper was slightly cracked, not a real problem. However, all the air bags blew out. I expected that the dealership would be waiting for parts to repair my Vette. All parts have arrived except for a 'dash' with no delivery date...
I bought a C7 last year privately out of New Brunswick. I live in Ontario. The seller and I went through his dealer because he was upgrading. All paperw work was completed by the dealer including the money transfers. If the seller is upgrading it is a tax advantage for him as well. I bought...
Thanks Graham, to be honest I have not gotten down to have a close look yet. I tend to think about what I need to do next day so I research on the web. It sounds pretty simple like most things on the C3 Vette. Most trims are alot more difficult.
Thanks for your help. I guess it wasn't a...
Thanks for the advice. The car has been stored in a shop but water / condensation still gets in the fuel. I am going to try all of these things working my way back but ai suspect that the tank strainer could be plugged as well.
