    found it....it was the flap the was jammed! you guys are awesome, thanks!! the pic of the flap saved the day...shoved my fingers back there and there was a stone that must have slipped behind the carpet and somehow wedged itself perfectly thanks again for all your help guys!

    Your AVERAGE is 7.3L/100km?? You get better mileage than our Focus! 6.4 highway - 8.2>9.1 city - so we net out around 8 most of the time.

    Yeah, I made it JUST in time to the gas station. I have never stored a vehicle with more than 1/8th of a tank and never had an issue. That way I add a jerry can of fresh fuel before the start. Storing my cougar that way since 99 and no issues. Then I couldn't get my high beams off so had to go...
