There were no extra charges like admin., gas, warranty, etc. on my first new Vette forty-five years ago.
It all came out of the agreed purchase price, which was never MSRP.
The extras are just to make the selling price look good.
Kinda like they do now for airline tickets.
Can't there be a separate category like miscellaneous for all the comments about planes and trains and things not automotive?
I really don't want to have to scroll through all this stuff.
On a Direct Injection engine, the crankcase is vented into the intake plenum to be burned away.
As it is Direct Injection, no fuel touches the backside of intake valves, so fuel additives to clean intake valves never hit that area, so there is a buildup.
I am really bad. I make sure I have about a half tank of 0 ethanol gas (it takes too long to run out the old gas in the spring) put in the roof panels, and put it up on jack stands. I do all the clean up and fluids in the spring. Been doing this since the car was new, and it still looks...
Wow, when I was playing with the suspension forty years ago all my choices were "these were for Daytona'" and "these were for Sebring" etc. I settled on what I liked but kept several rear sway-bars as I thought they made the biggest difference, and I even change them when I get new tires to...
The extra cost is because we put a 'u' in colour that they don't have in their 'color'.
By the way, did Brian Cullen give you any indication on delivery time?
I understand that the entire 2020 production is sold out. Might be a ploy as the strike caused delays and slower production on a new model. Anyone know how many C8's they intend to manufacture in 2020? There were 43,000+ made in my C3 year.
I'm bad.
I have been storing my C3 for 44 years, for four months of the year.
Half tank of non-ethanol gas. Jack stands. Scented dryer sheets in the car.
That's it. I don't start it, trickle charge it or cover it.
In the spring I do most of the things all the others do in the fall.
But you...
Every two or three years I have Krown do the underside of my C3 that I have had since new.
As it is not winter driven, there isn't much rust, brake lines are good, etc.
