    My bet is that he caught heavy rain on the way home and the open trailer being higher, he soaked the optispark in the front of the engine and it's now toasted... It's his reponsability now to figure out what he did wrong!

    Any codes? Try to check if one of the 5 wires going to the MAF isn't pulled out of the connector not doing contact when you plug it back in...

    Texas Speed PRC or Livernois LS6 ported heads, but nothing that won't break the bank exept a regular set of 243/799 heads, but the gains are not the same... Buy once, cry once! ;)

    Have the Optispark distributor ever been replaced? Look if the water pump leaks, if it does, it drops straight on the distributor and cause all sort of problem as you described...

    If it's a Canadian car, you can just remove relay #44 in the fuse panel under the passenger floor mat and they will not go on automatically...

    I had 2 1996 LT4’s and as much as I love them, I would chose a C7 Z06 any day over it except maybe for an extremely low miles 1996 Grand Sport with red interior and Z51 suspension! 😉
