You’re correct if you’re comparing “identical” C7 ZR1’s, one being an automatic and the other being a manual. The one with the manual will attract a higher price!

Read the posts…..it’s a given that automatic’s are faster than a manual, but they don’t provide near the feedback you get with a manual transmission…..and with the severe consequences today (stunt driving) who’s racing when that really draws the attention of not only the police but amateur...

I feel more at “one” with a car with a manual transmission. Downshifting is a blast and ensuring you’re always in the correct gear and RPM range instant torque is there when you want it (no hesitation whatsoever) ….………and considering you could take first gear up to 100 kph you’re not shifting...

I agree with your statement preferring a C8 (DCT Automatic) versus a C7 Z06 Automatic. The C7 automatic transmissions have (milliseconds) delays when shifting. The shifts with DCT transmission in the C8’s are immediate which is desired. That’s why my Z is a “manual”……….
