I had a similar issue whilst out in the wilds of Ontario near Hanover, about the time they only come out at night. Did manage to find a refuelling station before totally depleting my energy source. Seems that gas stations are on the endangered species list in Ontario.:)

The voltage reading were from the dash display.

The charge algorithm varies depending upon various factors. Normal daytime driving upon startup it, it charges to ~14.5 volts. After a short time, the voltage will drop back to approximately 12.7 volts. Have observed the voltage swinging between 12.3 to 14.7 volts. This is supposedly normal...

IIRC, the C6 GS coupes had a dry sump engine, engine oil cooler and a differential cooler. GS convertables were wet sump, not sure if they had a differential cooler , no engine oil cooler. Put the engine oil cooler on my GS. It dropped the oil temps from 250ªF normal was 230ªF track ~270ªF in...
