I have been using Lucas additives in my cars for many years. On a new car I use just the GM Dexos oil until I get about 40,000 kms on the new engine before I start to add the Lucas. Even when I take it back to the dealer I send a litre of Lucas with the car for the dealership to add.
I admit...
An update here. No car yet. My friend just reminded me that he ordered a bucket full of Carbon Fibre, interior and exterior. I had forgotten that so this may be an ah ha moment.
The most I’ve ever paid for my Stingray at the dealership, using Mobil 1, 0-40 is $135.
If I take it to an independent service centre, it’s around $80.
Thank you, now I can stop bugging him to call the dealer. I think he kind of wanted an Anniversary year car.
I was convinced something strange was going on. See, I learned something.
Hopefully he’ll get it next Spring and not this fall resulting in having to immediately put it in winter storage...
I live very close to Brian Cullen. They were who discouraged me from getting a C8 in 2020. They told me they had allocation for 85 cars and deposits for 200 and since they didn’t think they would even get their 85 cars, my wait could be three years. I returned home, looked in my garage and saw...
You are absolutely correct. I just assumed that, since he got on the list so soon after the C8’s arrived he would be near the top of the list. I also thought that Wilson Nibblett was the top Corvette dealer in the country and would have enough allocations that he should have gotten his car by...
I don’t think so. I’ve suggested several times that he call his salesman and he alway does, but he doesn’t seem to learn anything. Several months ago he was asked to finalize his order, which led me to think he was close. But nothing since then.
By way of an explanation, in about 1992 he had a...
I have a question.
I have a friend who got his 2015 Z06 at Wilson Niblet in June of 2015. That same day he put a deposit on a C8. He picked up his 2020 C8 from WN in April of 2020. That same day he put down a deposit on a C8 Z06.
He still doesn’t have the car.
I would have thought that with all...
I have attended the Bayfield Show several times and always enjoyed it.
Last year after driving 3 hours to get there I found there was only one public bathroom available for 700 people. I found that unacceptable and unnecessary in this day and age.
I don’t plan to attend again.
I bought my first Corvette in 1967. I currently own a C3 and a C7.
In 2020 I visited three dealers in my area looking to order a C8. When I finally arrived at the third dealer, Brian Cullen, I was introduced to the reality of the program. They explained that they had allocations for 85 C8’s...
Here’s my fall colours. Taken November 8th this year, in our small town park where 128 flags were erected in honour of the 128,000 Canadian men and women who gave their lives in service to our Country and the World.
I recently dropped an LS1 engine with a 4L60E transmission into my 80 Corvette. I changed the tail stock so I could retain the mechanical driven speedometer. It worked quite well. The only problem I’m having is finding the correct driven gear for the speedometer. They are discontinued by GM...
Thank you, Denis. We had a great time today. One of several amazing things that happened today is that about 35 cars left the Beamsville parking lot this morning and after about 80 kms of both twists and turns and stops and goes, every car that intended to finish ended up in the NOTL parking lot...
