dealers quote $~1800 " Both quoted for hud w/shield.
Members have any advice ?

Ask them who makes the windshield and does it meet OEM specs? That would be my advice.

Compare your current windshield's DOT imprint and compare it to the new windshield's DOT imprint to see if they match. Also make sure any and all ADAS(Adaptive Driver Assistance Systems) functions are recalibrated and functioning; eg. HUD, rain sensors, cameras, dimming, lane changing, auto braking, etc. (whichever are applicable to you vehicle).

It’s a bit of an effort but If you have the means and a GM Dealer Parts Department in ONT with an online Wholesale website, OEM 2019Z06 windshields are wholesale priced between $700 to $900 here in AB.
You will need a means for pick-up and then find a glass company who knows how to install an actual Corvette Windshield. Yes … some installers apparently have no clue according to my resource here in YYC.
You will then get exactly what you would get from the factory and not have to compromise. Otherwise it can be a roll of the dice … hope it all works out for you
