Z06 Sport Cats

I had 2M sport cats on my C8 stingray and really like the added throaty sound.

Taking the plunge for the c8 Z06.

Any experience out there with these or others on the z06? 2M in particular.

Claiming 25hp (didn’t notice much difference on the old car)

You will not feel 25 HP , even if the cats actually can deliver that.
But if you like the sound pitch change, then you got something you like.
Post up a before and after clip when you get a chance.

I'd wait until you actually have the Z06. It's pretty loud as it is.

Yes, I agree, z06 is a lot louder even in Tour mode.

Subscribed! I would be interested as well. Done a bit of research and did not find much. I am mostly interested in seeing if it triggers CEL or not (apparently it does not even with cat delete). Just don't forget to order the GM gaskets. Apparently the 2M ones are crap.

I'd wait until you actually have the Z06. It's pretty loud as it is.

Have her now - it’s in getting a ppf wrap and done on Tuesday this week. I’ll likely take it direct to Western Corvette and get the cats installed this week. Agreed - the z06 is much much louder as is!

Did you have to install their mini cat? Apparently it helps with the CEL.

So - here’s my quick update. 2 m cats are on - not a lot louder with a cold start. I recorded both and not much difference but there is definitely some increase and throaty improvement. As all have mentioned it was pretty loud before!
Now for the big question. No CEL well at least immediately after the install - however I got one about 50 KM afterward. Pulled the code P013E. “Delayed response rich to lean” sensor 2.
Fair enough - did some reading/talked to the tech at western corvette and landed on spacers (as suggested above) the 2M cats don’t come with the spacers or mini Cat - So I’ll pop those in (they are ordered - I’m trying the 2M mini cats). Bigdaddy spacers are apparently pretty good too. The car is running fine and just hit my 800 km (500 miles) - and wow. It is a beast compared to my old C8 stingray. Very noticeable.

lol the car hit the 800 km before the cats went on ( drove it a lot) but had great luck with the 2M before on my C8 stingray No CEL and decided to give them a try again. We will see if this does the trick! If not back to the drawing board.
