Z06 Pricing Speculation

I agree with you guesstimate numbers, now we just have to wait until 1st week of April for Canadian prices as they are always late compared to USA prices

I think your close . But will have to see .
I just hope they get there production levels up .
If they don’t !!!!
Having worked for years in the manufacturing , production quotas and production levels kinda have to match . Profits are based on them .
When they don’t . Well you see what’s happening in the automotive market. Someone has to pay .

Thanks to all who responded. I increased the US/Can price differences somewhat to take into account the possibility of increased pricing in the Canadian market and what appeared to be a "trend" with the 2022 SR pricing, for the percentage to increase at the more expensive levels. However I've continued to "bank" (pardon the pun) on GM's habit to reasonably price their Corvettes, especially in the first new model year.

Having said that, I'm about $20,000 short in my "piggy-bank" to outright purchase a fairly loaded 3LZ Convertible with the Z07 package and CF goodies, if my predictions hold true. Of course, it helped to recently sell my 2020 C8 SR for what I paid for it (accessories and gst included) and that's the first time I've ever sold a used (13 months and about 12,500 km) vehicle and not lost a dime. So I'll continue to save for the Z06 in the meantime and hope to have sufficient funds when needed. Again, here's hoping at least the more expensive accessories will cost less than my guesstimates. Good luck to all!

I'm selling my 21 C8 HTC next month so I'll be a good test of the market as well being a 1LT. Truth be told regretting that option choice right now...lol

You may be pleasantly surprised. The 1LT will lower your asking price and that in and of itself, will attract some buyers. Make sure you emphasize the word "convertible" in any listing. I referred to mine as a "HTC" and had one potential buyer totally miss the significance of that and thought my asking price high...only to come back later and say he better understood the price once he realized it was a convertible (lol). Next month may be a good time to sell: they continue to pump out 2022 SR's and there will be more like you and me to sell ours for the Z06, which is why I sold mine early w/o waiting for the Spring. Good luck with your sale and I look forward to seeing pics of your Z06 on the Forums.

you should really wait until May to get the most money, also 1LT was a poor choice but ether way you will get all your money back and then some.

I am going for a 2lz HTC, and will be trading/selling my 2021 2lt HCT + 2013 Chrysler 200 Convertible with only 50k KM on it to offset the cost of the upgrade.

Yeah I hear you as I did have a 2LT coupe but thought I could live without the 2LT options...whoops. And now having done the Ron Fellows driving school its a must to get the Z51 package for me anyway. Next one will be a HTC and 2LT as a minimum.

I think you'll be pretty close with your pricing. Thank for sharing.

Canadian luxury car tax is delayed until sept 1, 2022
Good find...now if only I can have a ZO6 parked in my garage before that September 1/22 date...OR (better yet) implementation of this new tax gets further delayed or it never happens...

Here's the March 11/22 Government of Canada News Release describing both the tax, some possible changes to it, and expected September 1st date:

Just what our economy needs .... high inflation, higher interest rates and more taxes. A perfect recipe for people to spend more .... ooops, they won't have more to spend. Sorry for the deviation from the original post.

Done as well.
You should read the actual proposal to see just how dim witted the bureaucrats are though.
Can you even put your head around them taxing a vehicle that is modified for disability use?
And an airplane under $100K. Obviously want to eliminate the engine and put in bike pedals to turn the prop.
Might be a good idea though as then you wouldn't get the carbon tax! ROFL And much more environmental friendly. More ROFL (as an aside I did recommend put pedals on the passenger side as a winter project. You know, more fuel economy and it keeps the passenger in shape )
A reasonable pickup will soon be over $100K as well
Dinks are just encouraging the underground economy. But, like I said, they are too dim witted to see that.

I don't need to read it to know that politicians are dim witted!
What I don't understand is why a $249,000 boat is not a luxury, but a $100,000 car is?
