Each year the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame would hold a track day at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park as a fundraiser. The public could (still can) pay to drive the track. We provided classroom sessions as part of the fee, experienced ride along drivers if you wish etc. A few years ago some guy in knee high socks, Bermuda shorts and a flashy golf shirt showed up near the end of the day with a brand new Lamborghini. On his second lap he oversteered at corner three and did a double front/rear side slap on the inside wall at the exit. He wasn't too happy.
On a side note, name drivers are usually on hand (in the past Hinchcliffe, Goodyear, Wickens, Heimrath ... I could go on) to give rides around the track. Ron Fellows is always present and gives hot lap rides in one of his Spring Mountain Corvettes. Next summer's date has yet to be set for those that are interested.
