Wow. Chinese EVs

I don't know why Premier Ford is so bent on keeping them out of Canada. Turdump is trying to take away all auto manufacturing from Ontario anyway.
We have a battery plant that an convert to building the Chinese spec fast charging battery or something in a collaboration with them? If that 49k quota increases we an ask tbem to essamble here or build our Canadian specific model as well.
I read some where that Magna build Chinese EV somewhere in Europe for their markets. Now we are only 40 millions and what we build will be for our market only unfortunately.

Lets just give them credit where credit is due. Fantastic for the price. I woukd consider these instead of Tesla or other not made in Canada car.

Unfortunately we will only see a very base model here as the agreement limits the retail price to $35,000. The high end Chinese EV's won't be available here....Yet...

It just gives Ford something to get bent on. Ford doesn't accept that the agreement with China allowing the canola, beef, pork and seafood export brings $50 billion into Canada. 3% of the Ontario auto industry is a small price to pay.

Ya, of course he IS thinking of Ontario only. It's likely hard for a provincial premier to see the big picture.

Agreed, especially some provincial premiers that don't give to $hits about the rest of Canada as long as their Federal cheques keep coming. After all, Canada doesn't need agriculture. We can get our food at Sobeys.
