My good buddy Wild Willy dropped off his 01 C5 for a new clutch last night. Rob and I were feeling pretty good so we got on the install right away at 6pm and at 10pm everything was out and ready for the new Luk Pro Gold clutch and flywheel kit . We also have a nice new pilot bearing and a new clutch slave .

Had the Rumblebee out for a tour with the new clutch--AWESOME--you don't know how tired your clutch is till you try a new one!!!! Manny and Rob--excellent work!!! Great customer service with some caring enthusiasts!!! the smile on my face is near as big as the one after the headers went on!!!!:D

Had a bit of ticking going on in the engine compartment--Actually NOCRISSIS brought my attention to it at the Border coming back from Carlisle last year---Manny also heard it---turned out to be a leaky set of header gaskets---Manny and Rob replaced both gaskets and she is purring like a kitten again!!! THANX GUYS!!!:canada:

Nice work once again, sure I will be added to the list soon, my stock 99 clutch is still holding
strong with the 500hp
but its eventually going to go south.

Was a lightened flywheel added with the clutch or a stock weight?

Also Manny does the whole front end get dropped again to replace the clutch?

No, this was a pretty much stock LS7 type clutch and flywheel
For the clutch install , just everything from the rear back comes out , including the headers

Clutch works great Manny---till Sylvia gets her next drivers lesson again in the 6 speed---just got the car off the roller for emission after all the controversy on the "other" site----hey no problem--as you know not much to stop any Hydrocarbons between the header flang and the tail pipes--passed with room to spare!!!:coolgleam:
