Yes. It is interesting. A lot of millennials I expect barely knew what a Corvette was (let alone the attraction and the history) before the C8 hit the news. For most of us, we got our affairs in order, kid's through university, houses paid for and in a comfortable position before we laid out a hundred grand or more on a long wanted sports car. And I would expect that most of us old timers already have their retirement funds in place, a healthy bank account, and paid cash for their cars.... (I said most of us, not all). What will be more interesting, given the economic downturn that will be hanging over the country for a long time to come, is how many of the 30/40 year olds will be able to keep paying for their cars at the expense of retirement saving, mortgage payments, supporting their families, etc. Not to be a downer but $hit happens and living close to the bone right now is likely not a good thing. I do hope I am wrong and no one has to regret their purchases.

Glad to say, I fit your your description of being financially secure. I know that I would never spend a $100K on a car unless: all the those financials goals were met and house paid for and I had a $100K that I could spend without thinking about it; but, a lot of people, or should I say, most people do not think like me. Not saying my hand would not tremble a bit writing the cheque; but, certainly would not impact any other things of consequence in my life. I agree with your concerns.

His statistics are interesting however I don't think he tells us how many C8 orders, he's pulling his stats from. If it's only a small sampling, which it may be with a Canadian dealership, his stats may not be trustworthy, aka "not statistically significant". If you're looking at this Morgan, can you tell us how many C8 orders you're working with?

Obvious comment for anyone like myself that is familiar with statistical analysis; but, point well made. Spent most of my life analyzing clinical trials; so, understand the concept. I think though, it was more an information piece to add nuance to what might be changing with respect to the buyers of the new C8. Tough group here at CCF - LOL. :Beatdeadhorse:

Need to know how many C7's he sold last year to know if xxx more in a certain group is a lot maybe discuss it over some chicken nuggets!

You will never all your pieces in place. The day that happens. You likely clutch your chest and yell “Weezi it’s the big one!”
Looks like you is a country boy? Tell my wife: I had to cancel my C8 convertible because to her it did not make sense: low mileage on current car, doesn't get driven much and you can never die with too much money - I made that one up. :Banghead: In other words: there was no damn good reason why I should not have bought the C8. Nice car BTW - my fav C7. There is one for sale at my local dealer - 2019 with 5K Km - coupe though and I like convertibles or I'd buy it.
