First time I've heard them called "stone" flaps. Back in the day when they were called mud flaps, they use to hang. get covered in mud, and flap when you drove at any speed...lol... But as Vette owners seldom go 'mudding' with their cars, it is still more appropriate than ACS listing them as mud guards...
