What's the stupidest thing you've ever had to take your car in for service for?
This morning I jump in the car to take the boy to daycare, put it in gear and boom! There goes my last remaining headlamp. So I have to drive to daycare and back in the dark with no headlights. It's not so bad because there are plenty of streetlights, and I'm very familiar with the route. I go to Canadian Tire, and am in for a big surprise. Replacement bulbs are $115 each! Ouch! I get home and pop the hood. You've got to be kidding me. No access to the headlights. I pull off some stupid plastic panels, and I can see that there is just no way to get at the headlight housings. A quick Google search and sure enough, the whole front clip of the car has to come off. The bumper, the inner wheel wells, and a bunch of stuff. I have never seen anything so ridiculous! So now I'm sitting at home six hours after taking the car in, and waiting to get my car back! I can't paint, because I do not have enough paint left. I'm almost out of danish oil, so I can't even rub my wood while I wait. You just don't realize how important your car is until you don't have one! I can't wait to see what the bill is going to be like. >:\
