I just did a oil catch can on my C5 order it local there are a few good brands out there run you around $100+ and mounted on my head. It is a must needed mod!! the C5 are bad for sucking in oil thru the Intake. I will have some pics up tomorrow night

Could you please inform me to what the catch can does and how the oil gets in the intake without one. I have no idea and would like to know.

Here are some pics of how I installed the hose from the valve cover that went to old trottlebody LS1/LS6 style.... Now I have a LS2 throttlebody so it doesn't work that way and I add a "T" to the PVC catch can then down to intake

Great photo explanation and DIY. Fast intake looks hot too! Thank you. Where did you buy or did I miss that?

I am putting the finishing touches on my own design. I will post pictures when it is installed and let everyone know if it works out well or not.

Unless you are tracking your car hard a catch can is not needed.A better investment is the $10 mod to bypass the cooling line away from flowing through our throttle bodies which allows cooler denser air to flow into the manifold:coolgleam:

Mine has never really had a issue with burning oil that I know of,
never had to top it up, just like the look of the can in Blue and
maybe some added protection for just over $100 :)
