There was a commercial on the Superbowl with a man and a woman driving along a road in a Chev pickup and they were very quiet and then held hands.
The pickup went over a hill and the caption was tomorrow is"" cancer awarness day.
Well done classy ad for Chevrolet I think.
And the one for Weather teck where they say nobody builds factories anymore in the USA they did. They also bought all there supplies and equipment from American suppliers.
Thats the attitude same as weatheer teck has we need in Canada.
I do not give a crap about the foreign cars being better.
I will only buy GM or Ford PERIOD!!!
I had to look around , but I bought a fridge made in the USA for down here!

Where do the end profits go???
I want them to stay in North america.

Interesting topic. I had a discussion with a friend on the weekend who refuses to buy beer from "The Beer Store". According to him all the profits go to InterBrew which is a foreign held company, yes they own the major breweries as well but all profits head for somewhere else other than here. He only purchases beer from the LCBO with the hope that the profits from the sale will stay here.

I think Weatherteck does manufacture mats in Canada as well. I wonder if they are a franchise but they do highlight the fact they are made right here.

Very true about the the complexities of the North American car industry these days. Who knows what is more North American from one brand to another. Yes profits may go offshore but the assembly workers typically are from the region. The spins offs are enormous for the communities where they are located. Just look at the ups and downs Durham Region has had with GM's fortunes or lack of them.

How is the Florida weather holding up TQ?? Hope you are enjoying the sunshine and warmth.

Weatherteck is made in the US.
The CDN weartherteck is just a warehouse for them .
If you want those mats you have a better chance getting from the states.
I ordered mats for my old c6 and after 3 weeks i Canada they said it was back ordered.
I called the states and had them in 3 days.
They had 600 in stock??
They ship 4000 mat sets a day believe it or not.

Also the weather has been up and down 50.s to 85's. We had 31/2 inches of rain the last 2 days.
Now it is 80.
I put in a new lawn so the rain was welcomed ,but it can stop now.
My buddy bought an 08 Vert with 4000 miles , when his wife was hit and they wrote of his Caddie.
It is red with black 2lt auto.

It got all the way up to the freezing mark here today. I started to clear some of the ice and snow off the deck. The old body didn't like it very much. I had to do it in a couple of bouts. Still a lot of snow there and not a cruise night in sight. :( Oh yes, I have nothing but GM vehicles.

100% GM here, always has been for me and for my dad before me.
My son is all GM, my Daughter is A Dodge/Hemi girl with her truck and Charger SRT.
