Took a dump!!
I mean I went to the dump to take some electronics and I weighed in at 1705 KGs ~ 3759 LBs
And my car weighed in about 1628 KGs ~3591 LBs
I can't remember what the specs said.

3,366 lb (1,527 kg) (dry) is the claimed weight
+ fuel, coolant, and a Driver
Today's cars are fat porkies. The C8 is obese for a "performance" car.

2021 Chevrolet Corvette Z51 - Curb Weight: 3647 lbs

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air - Curb Weight: 3177 lbs

I think I will take the porker

It happens, but it would happen faster with less weight.

That's why you often hear "curb weight" and GVW or "gross vehicle weight." Curb weight is the dry weight (no fliuds and unloaded) and GWV is the weight with fluids, passengers, and cargo.
Curb weight is the weight of the vehicle in running order. All required fluids, but no passengers or cargo. GVW is curb weight plus passengers and cargo.

This was a great test and testimony by the IIHS to the advacement in modern crash safety, helped through visual aid to dispell the myths of "old cars are safer" or that you need a big, heavy car to be safe. Weight in an of itself doesn't add safety, it just adds mass, and the energy of that mass moving has to go somewhere. A certain amount of strength in a body or frame will help you, but if it's no engineered to absorb the crash energy, it will transfer the energy into other parts of the car crushing the occupents. The front off set crash can be the most deadly front crash because the energy is only going into half of the car, so that half has to be able to absorb it without intrusion into the passenger compartment. The 2009 Malibu retains most of the structure of the passenger compartment, with mininal intrusion so the driver would probably walk away from the crash, at most could have a foot injury or need an underwear change, along with the other passengers. The 1959 Bel Air, the roof and A pillar cave in with the roof hitting the driver's head violently enough to either cause serious head trauma or death, the steering column similarly hitting the driver, and the crash energy transfering through the chassis so much rear ends lifts off the ground, so other passengers would be flung violently throughout the interior and would likely have serious injuries or not survive.
