Weatherstrip lubricant should it be used (frequency) as mentioned in the Owner's manual ? Are there any other lubricants other than the GM weatherstrip lubricant that can be used as the GM unit is expensive. Thank you for your time.

AxeZ06 does it actually lubricate the rubber? I have been using Auto Glym product from Canadian Tire and it seems to work well.

Sorry I missed you on Saturday, was hoping to meet up with you in Port Carling. Too many Tim Horton's I guess. LoL

Yes, and it also lasts a long, long time.

(Bitter sweet about Saturday. I was up late Friday, so I didn't bother going to bed.
But, I did nail the address provided, according to gps. I also hadn't been through that part of Ancaster since it was a goat trail, so that didn't help either. I'll prepare better next time.)

I use Auto Glym products on our vehicles and everything seems to be standing up well. Our Corvette is 15 years old now, the Olds LSS is 22 and the rubbers show no sign of deterioration. Just a quick wipe down once in a while is all it takes. Other products might be just as good but why change. Glycerin certainly works too.

Dielectric grease is also good for rubber weatherstripping. Smear it on good and wipe off the excess with a rag.
