First of all I need to thank our military for their sacrifice. I nor any of my family have affiliation with the military but I find I am always thinking of our service people for many years now. Decades, actually .....

:canada:

Well, as of a month ago I am on a waiting list for an allocation for a C7. The timing for new allocations is great for me; I cannot commit until December at the earliest anyway.

I checked car inventory in the USA, watched the Canadian dollar sink and adding transportation costs, I figure it will be a wash to just order what I want .... and can afford.

I have made multiple trips to Sherwood Chevrolet the last few months to compare color combinations. Even with "The Minister of Finances"!!! It's all good. (Thank you Sherwood for having actual cars in stock!)

Although I could go with any of three different colors I am going with a AW, black convertible top, AR interior, A8 at 2LT. The main add-ons will be NPP, red calipers and navigation. I haven't decided which wheels just yet. During my first winter storage I am considering powder-coating the wheel ring AW with a red pin-stripe to match the calipers and leave the spokes (or tuning forks) black. I search the web for this color combination with no luck.

One (major) outstanding question I have is; will two small sets of clubs fit in the trunk? I could put two sets in my C6 with the top down!

Bruce, I might a bit optimistic but I am targeting your Ponoka cruise for 2015. :D

Well said, and it applies to all protectors of the public such as police, fire and rescue personnel as well...

Yeah. I know I'm being very optimistic. :( Well, I'm in no rush anyway.

My plan is to use the "build" time to actively manage my TFSA until it is all gone then finance the entire car. :D

I'll entertain looking at used cars (CDN, USA) starting in the new Year as long as they are convertibles.

When is the Ponoka cruise and who sponsors it? To answer the golf club question=my vert holds 2 sets in lite carry bags with room to spare for shoes etc. Yes the top still goes down. I have never tried to rearrange the standard trunk config for more stuff with the top up.

Thanks MRACER

Sorry for my slow reply.

This is important information for my wife and I. I consider this topic another major factor that puts Corvettes ahead of their competition; luggage and clubs. Typically we would make road trips to Jasper each year. :coolgleam:

I was on the road (business) with my C6 convertible and my clubs were stored in the trunk. I could toss in a soft bag, extra shoes and a couple of small odds-and-ends with the top down. Naturally my suitcase was on the front passenger seat.

Most peoples jaw drops when I pull into a golf club with a passenger and unload two sets of clubs. Small bags of course. :D
