When I ordered my C8, I called many, many dealers last December and several said they were sold out until 2023, others until 2022, and others were willing to take my money (nonrefundable at several) without any further information. I hadn't joined this forum (didn't know it existed) and so basically, I got lucky when I called Bill Spencer and received immediate replies from Sean Lawlor and Taylor Spencer telling me exactly how many were on their waiting list and their best guess at allocation based on previous years. I was 36 in line on Dec 27 when I paid the deposit (refundable until my order was accepted by GM), found out in March that my order was going through and my car was ready at the dealership in September. So, it really depends on the dealership you are working with.
