Well today was the day! I laid out the sheckle for the big meats. Went from 275/35ZR18 Bridgestone run flats and 325/30ZR19 Goodyear F1 Gen 2 run flats. The ride is WAY better. Noise is much improved. Grip..... no comparison whatsoever. I was just driving a little crisp and likely turned the Goodyears 20 times lol. They had very low grip in this cold weather. The Pilots did absolutely fine with FAR more throttle. Clearance is great. Another point of note, online tire charts are a mess. Their dimensions are often WAY off. I was tempted to post them for everyone. Some had the diameter of the 275/35's listed as larger than the 285/35's!! Another listed the 345's as 2 inches larger diameter! You don't have to be a math wizard to know that a tire with a 30 series profile won't go up 2 inches in diameter when it's width grows by 20mm!! These were reputable companies sites also!

Great information MM. For anyone trying to make a decision about purchasing tires you would think the manufactures would have accurate information. Having used these same tires, although a bit smaller, for a couple of seasons I am pretty sure you will be pleased with them.

It was hard to believe. I was looking at the computer screen with a wrinkled face for sure lol. Three sites, three different answers. When the first site told me the 275's had less diameter than the 285's in the same 35 series profile I knew it was wrong. Then came the rear tire that grew two inches in diameter yet only .78th of an inch ( 20mm) in width lol. I just gave up and rough spec'd it in my head.
