Unplugged Wire Under Dash

Hey guys,

Anyone know why this wire might be unplugged? I tried looking at my wiring diagram but couldn’t find anything. Car is a 75’ w/o AC, new project of mine. Thank you!

Hahahaha I’m not a doctor but I think I can safely diagnose myself with the same disorder, I hate having loose ends like this!

That green wire certainly looks like it belongs, and once was part of that connector!
where is that connector located in the car? Steering column?
I could check tomorrow in my shop or assembly manual.

or @turbozig knows just from looking at it. He is sharp that way!!!

The connector is located right under the steering column

Seems like that’s for AC hose routing, I’m really looking for the wiring under the steering column in a non-AC 75’

OK, that group of wires is from the turn signal switch. According to my service manual, that unplugged wire is the power connection to the key buzzer. The brown wire it is molded to is the ground for the same switch. Possibly former owner did not like the buzzer and killed it by unplugging??
