U Drag Time

I don't care about the cost.... I'm curious how many companies will refuse to insure it...
I was thinking the same thing. I'd have said it but it wouldn't be as funny. ;)
Hagerty might be the only one?

They might be the only one, then you have to follow their stupid rules for driving your ZR1 when you pay them thousands (maybe 10's of thousands) to insure it for full value, to just stare at it in the garage and when you actually want to drive it it has to be under certain strict conditions. A total bunch of BS.

Where is the VIN for that sticker???

never mind I found the VIN..................calling now stay tuned...................

edit: ok I just got off the phone and they didn't tell me to pound sand but my current insurer for my 2019 ZR1 (CAA) won't insure any vehicle over $250k according to my broker. She is currently checking other companies they deal with and will get back to me. I told them to insure the new car similar to my current one but if she finds a company that will write a policy on the 26 they might want higher deductible limits and what not so I'll wait for a call either later today or tomorrow aftn. and see if there's a company that will insure that beast of a ride.

Speaking of beast, that's a nice spec car.............$53k in options alone and MSRP $335k.....................yikes!!!!

another edit: broker called back, insurance brokerage company deals with 16 different auto insurance companies according to her....................none of them will touch the ZR1 I gave the VIN for. Doesn't mean they won't insure one if you got a bare bones model..................maybe but I doubt it. Basically no regular insurance company is going to write a policy for a C8 ZR1, looks like Hagerty is the only option.

I did an online quote with Hagerty using that 26 window sticker ZR1. It's telling me $5800/year. $490/month with $1600 or so initial payment to write the policy. I just did the MSRP price for agreed value.

Sounds low to me for that car or my impeccable driving record is shining through for a quote on that car, but I still think they'll come through with their stupid rules on when and how I need to drive this car if I did do a policy with them on this car.

I just watched the SG video again with the ZR1 lap time and debrief with Britt Casey Jr.

You know a car is something when a Pro driver after doing his lap on the debrief says and I quote "It is fast!!!......................like very shockingly fast!!!"

He said nothing of the sort about the other cars, granted the other cars had their things going for it but to get a comment like what Britt said above about any car (this time aimed at the ZR1) is..................WOW!!!!

Sort out the brake and steering feel and this car could very well be perfect.

Also had to see Mark almost lose his lunch (he probably did after getting out) again that part is just brilliant, I wonder if he drove and Jack rode shotgun would J cough up his lunch too??? LOL
