Tranny Crossmember question

Hi Guys

I got my Transmission crossmember powercoated and I noticed some dents on it on each side.

Is this normal for these small dents to be on them ? Did it comes like this from the factory or one of the previous owners might of damaged it?

How are your crossmember on your corvette looks like?

Here is some pictures of my crossmember to give you an idea that what I am talking about. There is 2 dents on both sides. I looks awful when you take a peek at the crossmember. If those dents are non factory then I will replace it with a brand new one.

No, these dents are not normal. The large dent in the center appears to be from jacking on the crossmember. Also, it may have bottomed out at one point in its life in this area. It does not appear to have enough damage to affect the car in any way, only cosmetic damage.

yup looks a jack or 2 post lift swing arms too far in on the crossmember. it won't hurt anything.
