Just wondering if anyone (witch I’m sure lots do) tracks their car at mosport? (Or any other circuit tracks in southern Ontario) Is there an any clubs/groups or special events I can join to save some money on entry fees?
Try CTMP website. Various clubs do track days there: Toronto Autosport Club, not sure if Corvette Club of Ontario, Oshawa Motor Sport Club, SPDA-online. I have run on the big track with Pfaff and VARAC, but not in my Vette. Not a great answer to your question, but a starting point.

Yes I looked into Cayuga and Shannon vile however there schedule isn’t released yet. Also heard those tracks don’t compare to mosport! However the price is much better 👍guess you get what you pay for.

Speed Therapy, Ontario Time Attack, OMSC, and SPDA put on the best events.

If you've never done any track events, I highly recommend starting with a driving school.
Totally agree. Solo 1 school was a lot of fun. Laps with an instructor are very helpful. Enjoy your ride.

You can also warm up via simulations; Iracing and Assetto Corsa have Mosport, AC also has a mod for Cayuga via RaceDepartment.com. Not perfect but helps with the race line, etc, and much cheaper than the real thing.

If your new to the track scene, you'll definitely want to take advantage of some good quality coaching. JRP runs Speed Therapy and is the best bang for your buck. The guys at DriveTeq really focus on driver development and it will be well worth the experience. Both providers run events throughout the summer at CTMP. DriveTeq also does a few weekend events at the smaller Driver Development Track. Once you get reeled into the addiction, you can take advantage of early season booking discounts.

Correct, they don’t compare in many ways, but especially in the probability of writing off a car. Mosport is an excellent track, an original Grand Prix track, and it is challenging, hence not the lowest risk track to learn on. I.E. Turn 2 is a very fast, double apex, blind, off camber thrill ride that has many tire marks heading toward the walls. Mosport should be on any car guy bucket list, but taken with respect. Shannonville has been offering super deals to show up and lap. Cheap and much less probability of regret. BUT as other have stated, formal support and training is the best way to go.

I am a newbie to the sport with my C8 but I just had a track day last week at Motorsport Park. Was fantastic to be able to push it without risk of tickets on the public roads. I was with a group called Speed Therapy and they were great!
