Tonneau cover

So, last nite at a show 'n' shine, I had my C8 HTC top down (engine off, car in park, frunk and trunk firmly closed) and tried every way I could think of using the remote to raise the tonneau to expose the oil dipstick. Nothing worked. According to the manual, and AI, "PRESS LOCK, THEN HOLD TOP BUTTON", which I did. Lights flash, but nothing else happened. So, raised the roof, tried again, tonneau lifted as it should. Does this mean you can't check the oil with the top down??

With the top down, the flap that covers the dipstick and oil filler is blocked by the top, I think.

But you can raise the tonneau with the top down. With the car in accessory mode (or running), pull up on the top switch on the door. Hold it until the tonneau is up, but the top hasn't moved, then let go. Voila: top down, tonneau up.
