It was a beautiful sunny morning. Perhaps a little cool compared to where I've been for the last couple of weeks, but I managed to not get frostbite even though all I was wearing was a t-shirt (and pants - much too cold to not wear pants).

Mike, Spence, and I met up to await Garry's arrival at Davenport Motorsports to pick up his Z06 with much anticipation.

As Garry arrived and I tried to snap a picture of his excited expression, Justin fired up the Z06 to move it to the wash bay for a little detailing. Hence the great picture of Garry's whiplash reaction!

When I could finally get him to look back again, look at this glee!

As we impatiently waited for Garry to go through all of the details of his transaction, I smelled something fresh in the shop and sneaked out for a peek.

Spence thought it looked far too lonely.....

It looked quite at home to me, beside it's C6 brethren.

This car was actually delivered yesterday, so it is literally brand-new. Straight off the truck, no dealer PDI or anything. All of the parts are inside the car in plastic bags. This is what man-christmas looks like.

I was so pumped to find an M7 inside! YES!!!!

and now a brief pause while everyone cleans off their respective screens........

Wonder what Steve was doing to the ZR1....
... no where near the talent of Steve and his Staff is this writer ... but I think he has to put on the back wing
and pop in some wheel center caps (lol) ... :joyful: ... and I'd honestly be thrilled just watching that ... :Wideyed:
It is surely known some things sweet are gonna be going on with that ZR1 ... Steve mentioned he even asked
for delivery without any gas added in the tank by the dealer ... he's using Shell ... so I was all ears on just about
every little thing he mentioned. I was like a high school kid on a field trip.
I really appreciate our friend Garry for allowing us to lurk around while he's there with his personal
Corvette Business and also a tremendous shoutout to Steve for allowing us to respectfully check the shop.

no sooner do I post this ... I find this on FB ... wing & effects checked off the list ...

Super thread, super posts guys!

It was a terrific day to get the car back and to bring it home. The toughest part was to not floor it on the 8 hour drive. I grannied it no more than 3 K, heavily traffic'ed roads and I was also more interested in making sure that I made it home when I could find a traffic-less road to run the engine a little higher.

Wonderful treatment from Steve who also has some of the most detailed invoices that I have ever seen - every item and labour cost listed so you have no questions about what you are being charged.

And to have the guys meet me there and to give me a send off - the only disappointment was wanting to get home so badly. I could have spent an afternoon having them lead me on some of Calgary and areas better roads..............

Cheers,

Garry
