I’m sure this has been asked 1500000 times but I can’t seem to find a for sure answer and I’m looking to order tires this week,I’m running the stock wheels (15”) wanting to go with a 295/50/15 on the rear will they fit? Or have to modify the parking brake bracket?

295s can fit per sé..... you will need at least 9” wide rims with a max 4” backspacing..maybe get away with 4.5”, if you relocate the emerg brake cable bracket to the top off the trailing arm.
That means the tires will be sticking outside of the fenders.
I ran 265-50-15s all around for years on my ‘75 Coupe. Relocated the bracket.
295s on a 9” rim will still bulge out the sides.
295s belong on 9.5” + rims to function correctly.

I moved to 17” rims 10 years ago because of the limited availability of 15” tires.
