In Calgary ... no chance. Heck we can’t even get two news channels to make the same forecast and along with the “good news” broadcasts that have been discontinued for some time now. In the meantime ... enjoy your travels ... tease with photos if you want. 😁👍🏻

Thank you. Yeah, the last 2 winters were an anomaly: my friend in Kelowna is from Calgary and is a Porsche guy - drove his 911 all winter - puts snows on - also, they don't put gravel on the roads like Calgary. I visited him one spring and I could not believe the size of the stones on the road - had to wait until streets had been cleared before he could drive his car.

Well, now for the latest news, Wiarton Willie did 'NOT' see his shadow. If Wiarton Willie 'HAD' seen his shadow that would have meant six more weeks of winter. Hey, we live in Canada, six more weeks of winter would have been a 'GOOD' thing. Who knows how much longer this cold, snow and freezing rain crap is going to last.... :Banghead:
Maybe we should have a contest, the first person that says 'June' gets a free colonoscopy.

My brother - lives in London Ont. told me it has been -25 to -30 with wind chill. Not a ton of snow though unlike the mid-west USA. God, I don't miss the snow.

Here in MB we did -36 last week without factoring in windchill. Only -31 this coming Thursday night. And snow, yes we have snow. Don't need any more. That doesn't seem to matter. More promised for tomorrow, to go with the 6 inches we got Sunday night.

No offence but keep your snow Bix. -35 here this morning when I got up but sitting at a balmy -27 right now.... lol... Only reprieve is we haven't had much snow.
I understand. We don't want any more snow either. That's why there is more coming Monday. Our next concern will be spring flooding if this keeps up.

There is a reason I expect why part of the name is 'Portage'.... Hope for your guys sake the flooding is not an issue this year...
Yes we have a lot of water around here. Portage la Prairie comes from when the aboriginals, and fur traders would carry their canoes between Lake Manitoba and the Assiniboine River. About 15 miles. There was a time in my life when I could climb telephone poles all day long. But never could I walk 15 miles carrying a canoe. Damn they were a tough bunch.
