Thoughts on this product ?

Not an expert either .... but I'm guessing because of the heat that dissipates through that opening ?

But then wouldnt that affect the entire glass?
The top of your stove is probably ceramic glass. I would think that the rear glass would be heat resistant. That type of glass will radiate a lot of heat so I wonder would tint reduce its ability to do that ? I guess you would have to ask the GM engineers. I always notice when I’m putting the condom back on the car after a drive that there’s considerable heat coming from all of the openings around that beauty engine. And if in fact the bottom half inch of glass can’t be tinted, which on the face of it seems odd , the spoiler would cover it anyway. I think I’m in . That will be my second addition to the car but will probably be more noticeable than the new valve stem caps…..

I decided to order it . Going to go with a 40% or so tint which should still allow some view of the engine compartment but still look black from off angles. Ya , crazy price but I think the products from these folks are top notch given that they are an OEM supplier to a number of major automotive manufacturers. Not based in Guandong . Nice that when you log in from Canada the price is given in CAD and free shipping. Cheaper than a stage 2 Pro Charger….but , but , it’s early days. Stay mellow.

Joseph the owner of ACS has his orange coupe rear window tinted ( 5% )for a few years now with no issues, he designed this spoiler primarily to cover that bottom gap where the window tint guys have no access and rear glass is way too difficult to remove, as for the rear window heating elements unless you're Jack Raccoon I see no value
