As much as I'm a Corvette guy. And I really have been since I was 15 when I got my first ride in a blue 76. Not as fortunate to have owned various years as some of you guys and gals, nor the performance upgrades I'd like to have done to mine but for what it's worth,I'm happy to have one. But moving on,
A friend of mine has a 2012 Carrera 4S and I've driven it on the Radium Hwy 2 years ago. It's a different driving experience. It's quick!! Really quick but a "different" type of quick. The $$ spent on these cars isn't just for the name,it's for what you don't see underneath. There is something about jumping into one for the first time. The sound and "feel" of closing the drivers door. Starting it up,the sound behind you. The Quality, comfort, ease of controls, sight lines and "feel" through the wheel is unlike my Z. There is a section of corners on that road that are really nice in it at a nice clip !! It's a strange feeling at first feeling like your being "pushed" but after a day of ripping around,It's a really pleasant driving experience and nowhere near the interior tire noise I get either. We've both got the same Pilot PS2 Zero Pressure skins too.
So again, for what it's worth,I can only imagine what the new Turbo S is like. If I had disposable income,I'd be all over adding one to my " if I ever won the lottery " dream car collection. Nothing wrong with being a fan of other brands. Not for me anyway.
And no,I'm not drinking !! Wasn't at Jeremiads place last night !!
